Rapbrarian: Reading Came First

Rapbrarian: Reading Came First chronicles Roy Kinsey’s journey as rapper, librarian and creator of Rapbrary, a radical act of cultural preservation. This documentary follows his unwavering commitment to artistic freedom, the power of words, and hip-hop’s place in history—not just as music, but as an ancestral tool for sharing information.

honoring the bearfish

In 2018, I moved to San Francisco, teamed up with my friend Sam Huff, and together we founded Bearfish Productions. Our work lived at the confluence of documentary, environmentalism, and music. Although Bearfish went to rest in 2024, I’m so thankful for the client-based and original work we were able to produce.
